Yes indeed! I love his Watson voice. It's so comforting.

Oooh, Benedict is narrating Watson in first person? This'll be strangish.

Haha, it does take some getting used to, yes.

The trilled 'r's - I can never decide if I find them funny or not. I think I do a bit, it just makes him sound even more pretentious than he usually does.

I sort of love his poshness. I usually don't go for the type but he's just so sincere about it that I find him utterly endearing.

I think he does Holmes better than Watson.

Must... not imagine... Sherlock Holmes pretending to be Watson... must... be strong!

Am now imagining Sherlock sarcastically wearing John's jumpers. Because he can do that.

I love how Watson's like "Staying cooped up in a house with Holmes for a few days? Yes please!"

I love how standard a trope it is that anyone wanting to get at Holmes would go for Watson (someone very close to him!)

I remember reading an essay a while ago that posited that Watson - Bruce!Watson specifically - always took the place of the damsel in distress to the asexual Holmes.

"Fruitful incarceration." Watson is looking forward to a "few days of fruitful incarceration." :D :D :D

Cumberbatch playing Victorian!Holmes is interesting. You can hear some of Sherlock in there, with a bit of added age and maturity to it, I think.

Oh, Watson. Why? It's like the story about Orpheus. You're reading it and going, YOU WERE TOLD NOT TO DO THAT, YOU WERE TOLD WHAT WOULD HAPPED IF YOU DID, DON'T DO IT. And then he does anyway. Watson opens the door . . .

I love how even the fictional prospect of their breakup leaves Watson unable to sleep and completely heartbroken stressed out.

I kind of want to punch Holmes in the face when he comes up with a plan and doesn't let Watson in on it. COMMUNICATION IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF ANY RELATIONSHIP.

Same here. Communication is not exactly his strong suit, is it?

I'm amused that Watson and Holmes' breakup is worthy of publication in a large newspaper.
